We know our social media accounts need to be active. But who has the time to think of content, make it, and get it posted? Get a little ahead by using these ideas to engage your followers around Easter time and Spring.
Virtual Easter Egg Hunts
Use a free Canva account or another design program to create a virtual egg hunt. Think Where’s Waldo but for your mission. Fill the area with eggs or spring-themed graphics. Then, hide something about your mission in it. Canned good if you’re in hunger relief, Band-Aid if you’re in health care; you get the idea. Always have a link to your website with anything you post.
Springtime Donor Message
Not everyone celebrates Easter. If you’re going the more Springtime route, use the change in seasons as a reason to write a note to your donors. Instead of a Christmas card, what about a virtual Happy Spring card? Spring has lots of happy messages about new blooms, birds building nests, and warmer weather. Find the story within your own mission to play off of Spring. For example, the birds building a nest is nature’s way of showing how important housing is to every living thing. The new blooms can only be seen if people have access to vision tests and glasses.
Whatever your Spring or Easter message is this year, use storytelling to engage your donors, clients, and volunteers.
